2025 Ticket Aid Program

The 2025 Ticket Aid Program gives access to $225 tickets. These tickets are reserved for participants on a limited income who cannot otherwise afford our regular-priced tickets. These tickets are non-transferable and available by application only. A link to apply will appear here once the 2025 Ticket Aid Program is open.

Program Guidelines:

The application has more detailed instructions, but here’s what you need to know so you can be prepared to apply.

Program Restrictions:
  • If you purchase a ticket to Burning Man 2025 in ANY sale, you are not eligible to participate in the Ticket Aid Program.
  • If you are approved for a reduced-price ticket through the Ticket Aid Program and purchase a Burning Man 2025 ticket in any later sale, your Ticket Aid Program award will be revoked, even if the ticket was purchased for someone else or you let someone else use your credit card.
  • If a ticket to Burning Man 2025 is transferred into your name, you are no longer eligible to receive a ticket through the Ticket Aid Program and your award will be revoked.
Application Restrictions:
  • Applications are one per person. No couple or group applications. Feel free to reference each other in your applications if you wish.
  • Applications are one per email address. Applications with duplicate email addresses will not be considered.
  • You may not submit an application on someone else’s behalf unless the applicant has a disability that prevents them from submitting it themselves.
  • You must use your legal name on your application. If you are awarded a ticket you will be required to show a legal photo ID in order to collect it at the Box Office of the Burning Man event.
  • You must provide proof of your income and expenses; applications without documentation cannot be considered.
  • We will not request additional documentation or clarification, please ensure your application is complete prior to submission.
Gritty Details:
  • Approved applicants will be sent a link to pay for their order the same day as approval.
  • Tickets awarded through the Ticket Aid Program are $225 each, plus taxes and fees.
  • Tickets awarded through the Ticket Aid Program are held at the Box Office for $20 Will Call pickup, no exceptions.
  • Tickets awarded through the Ticket Aid Program cannot be picked up until the Box Office opens on Monday, August 18, 2025. Anyone arriving on-site before the event officially begins on Sunday August 24, 2025 must have a valid Setup Access Pass (SAP) for early entry. You can learn more about SAPs here.
  • Ticket Aid Program awards, along with tickets and Vehicle Passes purchased through the Ticket Aid Program, are completely non-transferrable.
  • It may take several weeks to review applications after submission. You will be notified of your application status regardless of if your application is approved or denied.

Technical Stuff:

Here are some tips to make sure your application submission process is as easy as possible.

  • You don’t need to have attended Burning Man before to apply—we welcome newcomers and fresh perspectives!
  • We advise that you complete this application on a computer rather than a phone or tablet, or wey may not receive your attachments.
  • Have your financial documents ready before starting.
  • Please make sure you’re using the most up-to-date version of your browser, and we advise using a browser such as Chrome or Firefox as opposed to Internet Explorer.
  • Be sure to check your spam and promotions folder for emails from us when you want to save and continue your application.

Financial Documentation:

To help us understand your financial situation, we ask for a minimum of two (2), but up to three (3) documents that show your income AND expenses. Don’t worry—this doesn’t need to be stressful! If you don’t have traditional documents like tax returns, we welcome non-traditional and international documents. Regardless of what documents you provide, please be sure that they contain your name and that they are dated from 2024 or 2025. Documents that do not contain your name and date will not be considered.

Examples:

Here are examples of documents you can provide:

  • Proof of Income: Pay stubs, invoices, disability/unemployment benefit statements, letters from employers, or proof of freelance work.
  • Expense Documentation: Rental agreements, utility bills, student or personal loan statements, receipts for medical expenses, or childcare costs.
  • Non-Traditional Income or Expenses: Bank statements showing deposits or payments, self-maintained freelance work ledger, community support letters, a letter from the professor you’re doing that unpaid internship with, or affidavits explaining your financial situation.
  • Tax Documentation: Tax returns or W-2 forms (2023 or 2024), or equivalent tax forms from other countries.
File Formats accepted:
  • Formats: We accept .jpg, .pdf, and .png files.
  • File Size: Files must be single-page and under 10 MB.
  • File Names: Keep file names short (50 characters or less) and avoid spaces or special characters.

  • You can always take a picture of your documents using a digital camera, or smartphone if you don’t have access to a scanner.

International Applicants:

We welcome applications from around the world! Documents in languages other than English are accepted. If possible please translate them, but if that is not possible please provide a brief explanation of the document’s content (e.g., “This is a pay stub from my employer in [country].”).
